- 1. Sign Up for Amazon Associates
- First, you need to register as an official Amazon affiliate. Go to the Portal: Visit the Amazon Associates homepage and click “Sign Up.” Provide Your Info: You’ll need to enter your contact and tax information for payment purposes.
- List Your Platforms: Amazon will ask where you plan to promote the book. List your website, blog, or social media handles (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, etc.). Note: Your profiles must be public and have some existing content.
- 2. Get Your Unique Affiliate Link(s)
- Once you are logged into your new Associate account, creating a link for each book is simple:
- Search for Book(s) To Refer: Go to Phil's Author Page to find a list of his books that qualify for the affiliate program. Or, use the Amazon search bar to find his books. Example: "AI, The Bible & End Time Predictions," "The New Testament In 365," or "The Gospels Discussion Guide." Select the title. (Note: A list of qualifying titles are also available below.)
- Use SiteStripe: Look for the grey "Amazon Associates SiteStripe" bar at the very top of the page.
- Generate the Link: Click the “Text” button on that bar. A small box will pop up with a shortened URL. This is your unique tracking link!
- 3. Important Rules to Remember
- To keep your account in good standing, Amazon has a few strict requirements. The 180-Day Rule: You must drive at least three qualified sales within your first 180 days, or Amazon will close your account. The Disclosure: Whenever you share your link, you must include a disclaimer. Amazon requires specific wording, such as: “As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.” No Self-Purchases: You cannot earn commissions on books you buy for yourself using your own link.
